Join the Lester B. Pearson Community!


The Lester B. Pearson operates elementary and secondary schools, adult and vocational centres, from Verdun to the Ontario border. Our school board serves approximately 30000 students within our various schools and centres.

To attend one of our elementary or high schools, students must qualify for English instruction in Quebec schools. In order to qualify, students must meet certain eligibility requirements set under the Charter of French Language as defined by the Quebec government.

The Lester B. Pearson School Board also has one of the largest International Student Programs, welcoming students in Elementary, Secondary, Adult and Vocational Programs. For more information, please click here.

Registrations for the 2024-2025 School Year

(January 15 to February 7)

During registration period time, all registration appointments are made with the school (including eligibility requests).

Outside of registration period

If you require a certificate of eligibility (new or renewal) for your child, you must come to the Board to complete your application (by appointment only). To make your appointment, call 514-422-3022, or email admissions@lbpsb.qc.ca.

If you already have your child’s certificate of eligibility, you must register directly with the school.

Frequently Asked Questions


The K4 program is offered in some of our schools within the network. For a list of schools that currently offer the K4 program, please click here.

To register for K4 your child must be 4 years of age on or before September 30.

Register your child by calling the school directly and making an appointment during the official registration period.

Please bring the following documents with you to the school:

1.Documents required for eligibility, if applicable.
2.Proof of residence (lease, driver’s licence, utility bill…)
3.Student medicare card number

To register for Kindergarten your child must be 5 years of age on or before September 30.

Register your child by calling the school directly and making an appointment during the official registration period.

Please bring the following documents with you to the school:

1.Documents required for eligibility, if applicable.
2.Proof of residence (lease, driver’s licence, utility bill…)
3.Student medicare card number

Parents of elementary school children must register their child at their home school (as defined by the Attendance Zone). If the parents wants their child to attend a school outside of this zone, they must make a transfer request with the home school at the time of the registration. To note, if the transfer request is accepted, the parent is responsible for the child’s transportation to and from the school outside of the Attendance Zone.

The registration period for the entrance exam begins Tuesday September 5, 2023, and will close on Monday, November 6, 2023, at noon. Additional details can be found here.

It is possible to register your child at one of our schools with an inter-board agreement. You must request an inter-board agreement from the school board that serves the territory you live in. Unless otherwise indicated, inter-board agreements must be renewed every year. The parent is responsible for the child’s transportation to and from school.

No. English eligibility is not required when registering as an adult student – even if you were previously enrolled in French school.
