Parents/guardians must notify the Ministry of Education (MEQ) and the school board of their intention to Homeschool by July 1st every school year. Parents who choose to withdraw from a school during the school year to homeschool their child must notify the school of their departure and register with MEQ and the school board as a Homeschooler within 10 days of withdrawing from the school. Consult the Education Act for more information.
- The parent/guardian must contact the school to advise them of their departure.
- The parent/guardian must notify the Ministère de l’Éducation du Québec (MEQ)
- The parent/guardian must send a copy of your Notice to Homeschool to LBPSB by email:

- Child(ren) must have a certificate of eligibility.
- The parent/guardian must live on the LBPSB territory.
- The parent/guardian must notify the Ministère de l’Éducation du Québec (MEQ)
